Organization Partners with TrialCard to Help Reduce New HIV Infections in America

Therapy initiation and patient solutions provider AssistRx is proud to support the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) “Ready, Set, PrEP” program. AssistRx is partnering with TrialCard through a $4 million contract for one year with four one-year option periods.

Together, these organizations will support the nationwide Ready, Set, PrEP program, which is a key component of the Ending the HIV Epidemic: A Plan for America (EHE) initiative. EHE aims to reduce the number of new HIV infections in the United States by 75% by 2025 and by 90% by 2030. Ready, Set, PrEP makes PrEP available to uninsured people who have a prescription for the medication. When taken prior to an exposure, PrEP medications are a safe and effective way to prevent HIV.

AssistRx will support patients and providers with real-time, electronic enrollment through a patient portal and a workflow in iAssist, the company’s intelligent therapy initiation and patient support platform. iAssist is used by healthcare providers for electronic consent, prescribing, enrollment, prior authorization and more. TrialCard will be responsible for the overall administration and operational effectiveness of the Ready, Set, PrEP program. Cardinal Health will serve as the wholesaler.
