Asembia Specialty Pharmacy Summit is back! This year’s summit, which takes place in Las Vegas from April 29th to May 2nd, is going to be a busy one. Just look at the stats:

  • 6,500+ attendees
  • 1,000+ organizations
  • 80+ hours of seminars, CE sessions, and business workshops
  • 1 giant Beach Club Party

To help you get the most out of this annual event, AssistRx’s very own Asembia veterans have compiled a list of tips for attendees to follow before, during, and after the summit:
1. Make a List of Goals
To ensure you are making the most of your trip, create a list of goals and check your progress each day. Whether your main goal is to earn CE credits, get the latest on market trends, find a new vendor, or learn about therapy innovations, networking should be on your list. Make sure to visit the exhibit floor to hear about new technologies and solutions in the space. Save time to meet with industry partners and vendors to learn about the trends they’re seeing and what they’re doing to improve the industry.
2. Download the Conference App
The conference app, which is set to drop in April, includes access to the full attendee list, session material, speaker bios, and exhibitor and sponsor information. App users can stay organized by creating a daily schedule down to the hour. Attendees may instant message other attendees via the app and view up-to-date tweets about the summit. Don’t forget your registration confirmation number–you’ll need it to access the app.
3. Make Time for the Summit’s Special Events
Asembia features several special events you don’t want to miss! Attendees can start their day off on a high note by participating in Sunrise Yoga on Monday and the Asembia Sunrise 5K Run/Walk on Tuesday. Make sure to register in advance for both events. If you’re a night owl, you’ll want to check out the Asembia Beach Club Party on Tuesday.
4. Add Extra Time for Traffic and Elevators
Sixty-five hundred people take a while to funnel into a conference session. Even just a small percentage of these attendees can quickly bog down an elevator. As you make your schedule, leave buffer room to walk to sessions and meetings. If you’re traveling to a different hotel, give yourself some time to stand in an Uber, Lyft, or taxi line. Also, Vegas can be very deceiving. Other hotels are much farther than they appear.
5. Bring a Survival Kit
Asembia is jam-packed with sessions and activities. You likely won’t have a chance to go back to your room until well into the evening. That said, bring your necessities with you in a small backpack or tote. Water, protein bars, tissues, hand sanitizer, mints, and phone chargers are advisable. Remember, you’re in the desert, so bring lip balm, lotion, and eye drops. Ladies, you may want to avoid heels during the day, or you can bring a pair of Rollasoles to change into when walking is needed.

So what can you do now?
Make your list of goals and then download the app. Once you’re logged in, you can begin creating your conference schedule. While you’re at it, make sure to save time to meet with AssistRx and stop by our Booth #836!
